NASCENT ART NEW YORK, a premier art company representing New York’s finest emerging artists, was invited to produce a silent art auction to benefit ALL FOR AFRICA organization. Artist JACK LAROUX is represented by NASCENT ART NEW YORK and was one of the invited artists to showcase an African piece entitled, AFRICAN XYLOPHONE WOMAN that sold for $10,000 at silent auction.
The evening was an enormous success with world famous artists such as Grammy winner and African Artist of the Century Youssou N’Dour performing along side Grammy award winning Beninese singer-songwriter Angelique Kidjo, Championship boxing featuring two title matches and live/silent auction of art and luxury goods. The event was hosted by BET’s Jeff Johnson and ended with an after party, AFRICA AFTER DARK, featuring DJ RICH MEDINA and JUXTAPOWER.
